Oryx (Gemsbok) is a strikingly elegant and massive antelope type, and are of course, also typically Southern African.  The Oryx is renowned for its long, straight, slender horns (therefor its nickname “spear antelope”).

Oryx skins are very popular for upholstery purposes, although very exclusive and difficult to find.  Expect a uniquely African and robust look with natural scratches, scars, and marks from the rustic bush habitat.
